About Smeaton Farm
Smeaton Farm is a 450 acre farm situated in the Tamar Valley. The farm is very much a family affair, being run by the husband and wife team Richard and Sarah Jones, and their three children Ashley, Megan and Harriet.
On the farm there are Aberdeen Angus beef cattle, Mule sheep and Saddleback & Tamworth pigs.
The farm is in the Entry and Higher Level Stewardship Schemes. These schemes are run by the government to sustain the landscape's beauty and diversity by encouraging wildlife and environment friendly farming. It's aim is to protect and extend wildlife habitats, conserve archaeological sites, restore neglected land or features, create new habitats and improve opportunities for people to enjoy the countryside.
Smeaton Farm is also the home of the Amazing Cornish Maize Maze which offers a different fun packed day out every year between the end of July and the beginning of September.
